Ditched the mockup panel for the controls. This is the beginning of the real piece.
Lot of people would use a router for this, but, I like my milling machine.

There's a lot more than this of woodworking to be done on this panel, but it's a start.
The corners use 1x2 furring strips to locate and attach all the panels to each other.
This is about half of the furring strips that will eventually be on each vertical to index everything.
I tried assembling the panel with the art to see how it's going to look. Verdict: Classy.
